The claims process

  • Excellent claims experience

    Point Insurance boasts outstanding claims service, with all claims handled in-house using their own claims authorities. They are dedicated to pushing beyond industry norms and consistently achieving top-notch results and customer satisfaction.

  • Step One - Claim lodgement

    Simply fill in and lodge the claim form to Point Insurance via email or post.

    You must give notice as soon as reasonably practicable of any Accident or Sickness which causes or may cause disablement and You must as early as possible place Yourself under the care of a Medical Practitioner.

  • Step Two - Confirmation

    Within 24 hours of lodgment you will receive phone confirmation from the insurer that they have received your claim.

  • Step Three - Initial assessment

    The insurance will review the claim and either - Accept, Decline or request for more information within 72 hours.

  • Step Four - Further assessment

    For those claims requiring more examination the insurer will keep you regularly updated as to the status of your claim.

  • Step Five - Finalise

    For successful claims payment is made. If the claim is declined, we call you, then follow up with an easy-to-understand email with explanation and options for dispute.
